To congregation members of Hartselle First United Methodist Church

For the past year, a Vision Team has been meeting to discuss worship and the possibility of offering a different schedule in the future. Our purpose in doing this has been and continues to be:

a. To ensure that we are capably meeting the worship needs of all members.

b. To ensure that services are vibrant and welcoming.

c. To consider the possibility of combining the two traditional services.

d. To consider and prepare for those who are yet to come.

We learned through the summer trial that our children and youth would benefit by beginning the early services at the same time. This provides a safer, more effective worship environment. In order to make a smoother transition to Sunday School, we moved the beginning time for worship, thus 8:45. In addition we added the 11:00 Contemporary service. Throughout all of these changes, you have shown great patience, understanding, and faithfulness. We thank each and every one you. A special note of gratitude goes to Ron, Ellen, the choir, and all musicians who were so flexible and continually provided beautiful music each week.

Now we would like your input regarding worship services. Please take a moment to read through these questions before answering. In keeping with our 40 Days of Prayer, we ask that you take some time to ponder, pray, and think about your answers before you complete and return. If you desire to communicate with a team member personally, you may email or request a phone call. Contacts are listed on the back.

You can return this survey to the church office or complete it online by November 18th.  If you need to give verbal responses, you may call the church office. The team will meet in November and then break for the holidays. We will continue in January and February. We ask for your patience in this process of reviewing data and determining how God leads for the future.

We appreciate your prayerful and honest feedback as we endeavor to make our worship services meet the needs of our congregation, people in search of a church home, and especially for those who have never met Christ. While we are so blessed to be amply fed each week, we also want to bring others in so that we can share the Gospel of hope and truth!! Thank you for your participation in this process.

In His Service,

Worship Vision Team
