When my family and I moved here in June of 2004 we were given the best welcome we had ever had in a new church. This is the friendliest and warmest church we have ever been a part of, and we were here only a short time before we came to love it.

The opportunities for growth and learning in the Christian faith are numerous and varied here. You can find a small group of people to be your family in the community of the church. Our Wednesday Night Alive program has recently started back, and we love it. The Youth and Children have great programs at several different times and places. Sunday School for adults has started and there are new classes being formed now. Disciple Bible Study has several groups at different times and places.

We are an active congregation. We do a lot of mission work at our church-- in other countries, with Habitat houses here, and in various needs all during the year.

Worship, and especially the music of worship, is a strength at First United Methodist Church of Hartselle. We believe that experiencing the presence of God is why we worship and we pray that everyone who comes will be able to sense that God is here in love and gracious life.

We challenge our members to greater commitment and service, and try to provide opportunities for the call of God to be worked out in this particular Body of Christ.

I hope you will come to worship and make our church a regular part of your faithful living in Christ. Please allow me or another staff member to get to know you if you are a new visitor. We invite you to be a part!
