When my family and I moved here we were given the best welcome we ever had in a new church. This is the friendliest and warmest church and we came to love it in a short time.
The opportunities for growth and learning in the Christian faith are numerous and varied here. Every person, including you, can find a small group of people to be your family in the community of the church.
Our programs are designed to help people grow as disciples of Jesus. Wednesday Night Alive programs for all ages, the Youth and Children’s programs, Sunday School for adults (with new classes being formed frequently) Disciple Bible Study, Beth Moore studies, Men’s Prayer Breakfast, and on and on—these are small groups for discipleship.
We are an active congregation. We do a lot of mission work at our church-- in other countries, with Habitat houses here, Boy’s Ranch work, and in various needs all during the year. We challenge our members to greater commitment and service, and try to provide opportunities for the call of God to be worked out in this particular Body of Christ.
Worship, and especially the music of worship, is a strength at First United Methodist Church of Hartselle. We believe that experiencing the presence of God is why we worship and we pray that everyone who comes will be able to sense that God is here in love and grace.
I hope you will come to worship and make our church a regular part of your faithful living in Christ. Please allow me or another staff member to get to know you if you are a new visitor.
